Year 12 Formal

I am sharing a layout I created for the Couture Creations Blog using a photo from my son's year 12 formal last year.
This is Brayden with his girls, one is his girlfriend and the other two are his best girl friends, I love that he has a close friendship with the girls. It means he treats them all with respect, which make me proud.

For this layout I chose to turn the photo to black and white as there too many colours for the type of layout I wanted as you can see with the original photo

I  used the yet to be released Sophia Decorative Dies and the embossing folders from the Elegance Collection which have just been released.

To start die cut the Beradi Heart Die and 2 of the Matiloa Flourish Die from cardstock,  emboss the Beradi Heart Die with the Extra Loren Embossing Folder

sand lightly using the Couture Creations Sanding Block

Cut a strip of patterned paper 1.5" x 11" and emboss with Extra Confetti Embossing Folder working the strip through the slot at the top of the Embossing Folder.

Distress all the edges of your patterned paper with Couture Creations Scissors

Tear a small section on the bottom of your page and adhere a section of the second Matiloa Flourish Decorative Die  under the base page.

Couture Creations Doily Dies + Jars

= beautiful vases for a very special occasion

I used the new Couture Creations Doily Die Dazzling and Blossom Yarn from their original doily die collection to decorate some jars to use as vases for the wake of a very special lady.
Yellow was Sue's favourite colour and I have to say I am having a bit of a love affair with Yellow at the moment as my eldest daughter told me Yellow is a very underrated colour.
Yellow and White certainly gave a fresh, sunnny look to a very sad occasion.

I also used the Dazzling Doily Die, the middle section of Celestial Doily Die along with Elegance Celebrate Embossing Folder , Crystal Gemstones and Crystalina Glitzin' Glamour Glitter Glue on the card I created for Sue's beautiful family.

Happy Trails

here  is the  step by step tutorial I created for for CSW Distributors  featured on Crafters Home Blog using the new Couture Creations Fantasia Doily Dies and Couture Creations Embossing Folders

Cut  piece of patterned paper 12" x 7" and cut bottom into a scroll shape, distress edges and ink with black ink pad and adhere to base cardstock

Die cut Tattered Lace doily die from patterned paper, see how easy the paper comes away from the die when using Couture Creations ejection foam on the die.

Cut Tattered Lace doily diagonally in half

Cut a piece of patterned paper 8" x 8" distress the edges and ink.  Fold in half, place in Extra Confetti embossing folder from the Elegance Collection and run through machine

turn around and emboss the end piece, this will give you patterned paper some texture, one side will be embossed and one side will be debossed, giving more interest to your background.

open up and and adhere to your page

Cut a piece of cork 1.5" x 12" and emboss using Magical Embossing Folder from the Fresh & Fun collection
Ink lightly using black ink to bring the pattern out.

adhere to page using Couture Creations doublesided tape

adhere both halves of Tattered Lace die to your page and adhere photo to page using Couture Creations foam tape to only 3 sides of your photo leaving the top open to slide in a 4" x 6" journaling tag.

Finish off with Couture Creations Cafe Cream Pearls
