Elf on a Shelf December Daily Album

wow isn't Christmas coming up so quickly, only 12 sleeps until Christmas!!!

I created this album for Couture Creations Blog using Couture Creations Dies and Embossing Folders

I have wanted to do a December Daily album ever since I saw Ali Edwards' first December Daily Album (you can see all of Ali's albums here)
Now as a family we are not that exciting and I am kind of slack and have never created one. This year however things have changed, I decided I would create a December Daily Album featuring the antics of our Elf on the Shelf "Tinsel".  I have kept my album very simple as I didn't want it to get too bulky and I wanted my photos to be the feature oh and I wanted to actually finish it :) . I have used Red, White and Black as my colours which match my theme for 2013 and also match well with Tinsel.

I started off creating the base of my album using a patterned file folder cut to 6" x 10" and plain white cardstock cut to 5.5" x 9.5" and then folded them in half for the pages. I cut a piece of ribbon to fit around leaving enough to tie off and then I used a small piece of double sided tape to hold the ribbon in place and sewed all the pages together. Quick and Easy Mini Album created now to embellish.

Start by die cutting Autumn Reflections Doily Die in white cardstock, pop a piece of tan mat or something to stop the middle from cutting so you can pop the middle "petals" up. Die cut a snowflake in red cardstock
(both of these would also look great die cut in glitter cardstock)

Attach to front of album and embellish with red and crystal gemstones and a brad for center

Now onto embellishing my pages

On my inside title page I have used Magical Christmas Decorative Dies, Eve, Faith and Tis the Season, I embossed the pennant with Extra Confetti embossing folder from our Elegance collection.
*Tip pinch the petals on the poinsettia flower to give some dimension to your flower, they will flatten a little when you close the album but still look better than leaving them flat.

Next I cut my printed numbers 1 -25 using circle and scallop circle nesting dies.

North Pole Decorative Die

On this page I used the Forest Die but cut two trees off the border as the border was too much, I also embossed the trees.

Rudolph Decorative Die

here is a look at the Magical Christmas Decorative Dies I have used on my pages.

I printed all my photos from my mobile phone via bluetooth to my Polaroid GL10 printer
I just love it it is one of the best things I have purchased I only wish I had bought it before I went to Europe as I could have printed photos for my travel journal while I was travelling.

I hope I have inspired you to do a  December Daily album for your Elf on the Shelf or your families daily life, as you can see by my album you can do something simple, if you are short on time.

I will pop the completed album on my blog after Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you all
