Post It Note Holder | Couture Creations

#kerriegurney

Hi everyone it is me Kerrie back again for Couture Creations
Can you believe February is all but over, my how the year flies these days.

Anyway onto my post.
Today I am sharing with you this super quick gift idea.
A Post It Note Holder created using an acrylic photo frame and a post it note pad and of course
Couture Creations dies and papers

This is a great gift for a school teacher, a colleague or a student for on their desk.

To start off I cut a piece of Vintage Rose Garden Time patterned paper to 4.5" x 6.5"
and then a piece of green cardstock to 5" x 7"
Distress the edges of both pieces adhere patterned paper to cardstock and place inside photo frame.

Next die cut 1 x Anastasia Ornamental Lace Die using Quick Release Die paper so the die cut pops straight out of the die and adhere die cut to the outside of photo frame

Die Cut 3 x Cycad Leaves in black cardstock

To create gorgeous foiled leaves, lay a strip of foil ontop of die cut leaves

next place inbetween a piece of photocopy paper and run through a laminating machine

and then remove the foil, to revel gorgeous foiled leaves ..sorry this is not the best photo, but you get the idea

Layer the leaves onto the frame and finish off with a fabulous fabric flower which you can create using the Rose Nesting Dies (visit here for flower tutorial)

Roses & Butterflies Shabby Chic Card | Couture Creations

#kerriegurney

Hi Kerrie  back for Couture Creations and for my post today I created this very simple shabby chic look card for a very special friend's birthday, but this card can be used for any occasion.

I have used the gorgeous Couture Creations Vintage Rose Garden 6x6 Paper Pad along with a couple of the newest release Everyday Essentials and Frames n Frills dies. These collections are gorgeous and it will be hard for you to not want them all.

Onto my tutorial

I started off by die cutting 2 x Cycad Fern from the Everyday Essentials Collection in green paper with a small text

I also die cut from the Frames n Frills collection, Anastasia Set. 1 x outside doily and 2 x border doily in a green patterned paper and then 1 x inside plain circle from a floral pattern

I then cut down the background patterned paper to 14.5cm x 14.5cm and distressed the edges of  it and also the floral circle

I then adhered the border doily strips onto a piece of ruffled trim using the 3mm double sided adhesive tape. I have placed the tape onto the back too for adhering to card base

I then layered it all onto the base making sure to adhere the trim to the background patterned paper before it goes onto the base card.

I  pinched the leaves to give them some life and I also slightly scrunched the doily base to give it some character so as not to be flat.
I added some muslin and premade flowers, but you could create your own flowers from some matching Vintage Rose Garden patterned papers.

Thanks so much for popping by ..please don't forget to leave a comment and share with your friends
