Hi Everyone it's Kerrie back with another project created using the fabulous Little Birdie Crafts mixed media products. I just love how easily the elements come together to create striking projects using Little Birdie Crafts mixed media mediums.
It is definetly a year of milestone birthdays in our family and October sees my brother in law celebrating the BIG 60
here is how I created my card
I started off cutting a piece of white cardstock to 20.5cm x 14.5cm and then added texture using stencil and mixed media paste, set aside to dry.
then paint an assortment of metal charms and wood veneer numbers using gesso and crackle paste, set aside to dry or dry using heat tool.
once everything was dry i wrapped some twine around the base and added some sisal fibre. I then adhered Chipboard Cogs using Heavy Gel Medium. Little Birdie chipboard is already primed so you don't need to gesso
adhere metal charms and wood veneer numbers, add on top of cogs and slip under to give dimension to card.
while Gel Medium is still wet sprinkle on Metal Micro Beads
now its time to add colour, starting off with Mocha Color Splash Spray, give light and heavy bursts
next add spritz of Charcoal Color Splash spray
once happy with the colour coverage add some splatters with both colours, then dry off using heat tool
to add some definition to the metals charms, chipboard and wood veneers I rubbed on both Gold and Silver Metallic Wax
here is a closer look at the metallic wax
I absolutely love these colours together, I especially love that the Charcoal spray is not too dark
using foam tape adhere the front to your card base
here are some photos to show all the texture and detail
