Celebrate 18

on the weekend we had my niece Grayson's 18th birthday. I still cannot believe she is now 18. Grayson has grown into such a lovely young woman and her Mum (my sister Megan) would be so very proud of the young lady she helped create even though Megan has been gone for almost 8 years now, Grayson has so many of her Mum's features and mannerisms.

I bought Grayson a Tiffany & Co Necklace as I wanted her to be spoilt on her birthday as I know Megan would have if she was here.

The card I made for Grayson I also wanted it to be Tiffany blue themed and here it is

and here is a photo of Grayson and I ... yes she is tall

Celebrate Twelve

while looking at some of the blogs i follow this morning i came across a layout by Eve Dohn that inspired me straight away i just love how she distresses her edges using different punches.

So here is my layout using my favourite photo of Miss T at her 12th birthday lunch just after Christmas.
I started off by laying a paper doily on my core`dinations cream cardstock and sprayed it using Maya Road Pink Grapefruit mist, i have used Martha Stewart and Stampin` Up punches randomly around the edges and then distressed the edges using a distress tool. Then i embellished the page with  Prima flowers, butterflies and, metal embellishments, a canvas heart (misted with pink grapefruit) and crocheted trim  from Maya Road and my favourite seam binding ribbon.

I am so happy with how the page looks ...☺

Secret Santa

here is a photo of my Secret Santa present i bought for Quenie at work ... she wasn't there to receive her present so i don't know what she thought of it

We had to spend $20 and buy something that started with the first letter of our name so that the person receiving the present had to guess who it was from

Inside the box was a Kewpie Doll Necklace and three badges one with a picture of Kermit, one with a picture of a kitten and one that said Kapow  ...i forgot to take a photo of the pressies before i wrapped them all up but this is what the necklace looked like ...

Black & Hot Pink Christmas

with just hours before i leave for our Asia Cruise
i thought i had better share my Christmas Cards they follow the theme of my tree...

while i didn't make many cards as i ran out of time in between end of year functions and organising our trip i wa very happy with the cards i made - although they do not photgraph very well - i have used a cuttlebug embossing folder and it doesn't really show up in the photos all stamps are Stampin' Up - but you get the general idea

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and an Amazing 2010

Quick Christmas Cards

I made these cards quickly last night to give as a gift...
All the embellishments were made last year at a class my friend Trish held using Stampin' Up stamps, so basically all i did was add a piece of cardstock embossed using the cuttlebug and stick on my embellishments - too easy!

i still haven't finished making my cards for this year and as i only have 9 more sleeps until i go away i may have to cull my card list for this year.... or give some of my left overs from last year and hope that i don't give the same card as i did last year.

are you sitting down - i have been creative again

i had to make a birthday card for a friend's 50th so while i was at it i made a couple more cards using up some old 3 bugs in a rug pp, super old mm rubons and metal embellishments... my stampin' up star punches, stampin' up cute and curly stamp & punch, hero arts birthday frames message stamp, ribbon, mini safety pins and photo anchors ...

this one i made for my darling husband for his birthday, again using up old pp, stampin' up oval punch and stamp & jute string
