Gnome Christmas Tags and Bon Bons | Couture Creations

Hi Everyone, Kerrie here with my last post as Guest Designer for Couture Creations.

I want to thank the Couture Creations team for having me back as their guest designer for the last 3 months I have enjoyed creating all my projects with their Deck The Halls Christmas Collection
If you haven't yet got your hands on this collection get out and grab some now it is a fun collection to create with and so perfect for personalising your Christmas gifting and and Christmas table decor.

For these gift card I used Couture Creations Snow White Cardstock which I cut down to 5cm x 7.5cm and then cut the corners off to create tag shape. I then created a border around the edge using a fine black pen. I also used the pen on the backs on my tags to write To: and From:

I then grabbed Festive Gnome, Winter Gnome and Gnome Girls Self Adhesive Embellishments and popped them on the tags. These embellishments are perfect for creating quick tags and they come with foam adhesive attached and they layered already so you don't have to do anything but stick them on your tags
To finish off you just add ribbon for tying onto your gifts

You can also use these embellishments to add some fun to your Christmas Bon Bons
It's as easy as popping on a Gnome Embellishment straight onto your bon bon

With Christmas fast approaching I hope I have inspired you to create some gifts tags and add some uniqueness to your Christmas gift giving and Christmas table

Birthday Shaker Card | Little Birdie Crafts

Hi Everyone, Kerrie here with another project for Little Birdie Crafts

Many years ago I was queen of shaker cards and I am so happy to see that they are once again popular as I do love a shaker card.
For my card today I have used Little Birdie's Boho Dreams collection as those who follow me know i love this colour combo and this collection

first up I cut two pieces of patterned paper to use as my base layers, I then applied mixed media paste using stencil to add some texture
while the paste was still wet i sprinkled on Silver Stars Twinkle Melange and set aside to dry
I then watercoloured the circle frame and the flowers, once dry i pulled the frame part and created a window by adding some acetate to the back of the watercoloured frame. I also adhered a doily to the base I popped the base onto a paper doily to give another layer to my shaker

I then double layered foam tape around the circle opening to give my shaker mix room to shake
for my shaker mix I used a combination of Little Birdie blings
next up I rubbed Silver Metallic Wax over the texture paste to add dimension and to take the whiteness from the paste
Once I had layered on my fussy cut pieces , flowers and sentiment I then applied some Gel Medium randomly to my cluster and sprinkled on some Micro Beads and Rainbow Sparkle and then finished off with some spatteres of watered down gesso
a closer look at all the layers and texture

#kerriegurney #cocoavanillastudio

Hi all, it's Kerrie back with a super quick but oh so beautiful layout.
This layout came together so quickly because of this gorgeous wreath pattern paper from Cocoa Vanilla Studio's Happiness collection.

a few layers of patterned paper under my photo, pop on some diecut embellishments add some paint splatters and done in 30 mins.

As always I have used foam tape to make my embellishments pop and add dimension to my layout

Creating with Anna Komenda | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

#kerriegurney #cocoavanillastudio

Hello everyone, Kerrie here and I am finally sharing my layouts I created in Anna Komenda's classes at The Crafty Chain  earlier this year using Cocoa Vanilla Studio's Happiness collection
It was so so lovely meeting Anna and doing her classes, we are certainly blessed with lots of fabulous international tutors visiting us here in Brissie.

I have used photos of my daughters and niece at my Mother in Law's 80th birthday and I think they are pretty perfect for my layouts so I am glad I waited before adding photos

my rainbow is certainly no where near as beautiful as Anna's but hey it was fun to create and when you are using watercolour paper sometimes watercolours just don't run they way you would like

Cruise Buddies Layout | Little Birdie Crafts

#kerriegurney #littlebirdiecrafts

Hi Everyone, Kerrie back for Little Birdie Crafts  with another layout using the Woodland Stories collection This time I have gone for a striking black accent to my layout.

I created this layout for a class I taught recently in South Africa here is a quick tutorial

to create my textured background I used black mixed media paste and applied it to a torn piece of black cardstock

to create black texture paste mix Black Gesso with Mixed Media Paste

you want it a nice thick consisity

randomly apply the black texture paste using dot stencil

Once dry I highlighted the stencil detail by rubbing on Rich Gold Metallic Wax  using my finger.

To add some dimension to my layers I painted the edges with black gesso

to create this cluster I used four pennant pieces from the Embellishment pack along with a flower cluster from the pack and a handmade flower

to add texture and richness to the handmade flowers I rubbed on some Rich Gold Metallic Wax to the petals

Unmistakable Creations Scrapbook & Craft Cruise | Simple Stories + Little Birdie Crafts

#kerriegurney #simplestories #littlebirdiecrafts
#australianscrapbookcruises

Hi Everyone I am back from the high seas and they were high at times but i am happy to report I didn't get sick once thanks to the 4 little white pills I took each day ♥

I am sharing all the layouts i taught onboard along with a bonus one that I created using up the scraps as i was packing my bags for the cruise. I used my tag I created for the tag swap showing everyone how they could use it they wanted.

The cruise was fabulous all the ladies were so so lovely and we all had an awesome time with lots of laughs while down in the bowels of the ship aka the conference room

A HUGE THANK YOU to MELISSA KENNEDY
for asking me to teach on her cruise and another
HUGE THANK YOU
to

and

for their generous sponsorship of my class kits. The ladies all loved creating with your products.

I also would like to thank my travelling buddies Bez, Nikki, Cecelea & Sonia for being so much fun and coming along you all made the cruise extra special

Ok onto sharing my class layouts.
From the Simple Stories Hello Summer collection pack I created 1 double page layout and 3 single page layouts using the patterned paper and stickers with enough left over to create a bonus layout and still with more left overs for creating more layouts.
We also added some mixed media using Little Birdie Crafts stencils, sprays, gesso and texture paste along with some of their gorgeous flowers to embellish
I also added some enamel dots, wood veneers, foil, wood wool, tracing wheel, metal charms and lots of other embellishments as you can see from the photo above it was a very generous kit.

There was quite a bit of fussy cutting to do so we had loads of flowers to add lots of lovely layers

This is the bonus layout I created using some of the leftover papers, stickers and my swap tag

Thanks again to Melissa, Simple Stories, Little Birdie Crafts, my friends and all the ladies who came along to cruise and create
Make sure you follow these fabulous and passionate papercrafting companies as they have so many gorgeous products and fabulous cruises coming
Lastly if oyu are sitting on the fence about taking a scrapbooking cruise don't sit book one today they are so much fun and with drugs anyone can do one without getting sick :)
