today Trish and I caught up for Christmas  gift giving and a movie .... we headed off to Gold Class to see Tower Heist which we both really enjoyed ... i forgot to get a photo of us relaxing in our recliners ....

I bought B a voucher for a flight simulator for Christmas ...here he is taking off

I highly recommend this gift for anyone interested in flying ...B loved the experience and landed perfectly at Hong Kong Airport ☺

for Christmas Miss T wanted a new doona cover for her bed as she is nearly 12 she wanted a more grown up room ...so here is it along with the new cushion and photo frame she got from Santa and the new lamp Nanny bought her for her birthday ...she bought herself the bedside table and hello kitty plush toy with her Christmas money.

Boxing Day in Australia ...tradition for us is going to see a movie ...so today Miss T and i went to see We bought a Zoo and we both loved it ...i shed a few tears as i seem to do in true stories.

Today Miss T and I went to see The Nutcracker performed by the Brisbane City Youth Ballet ....our friend Samara was one of the dancers and she danced so beautifully  ...she has such a beautiful stage presence.

Here is a photo of Samara with Taylah after the performance. (this is one of the great things BCYB do is have all the dancers come out to the foyer in costume after the performance is over so you can get autographs and photos with the dancers.)

tonight i made some christmas bunting using paper doilies and the off pieces of my EK Christmas Tree punch

I love how it looks and so easy ...just fold doily in half and sew tree on and keep adding doilies and trees until you run out ...i wanted to add some ribbon but as it is just cotton thread holding it i don't think it would hold anymore weight.

here is our tree for 2011 ...i am missing my forest but at least having one tree will be quicker to take down. (i didn't take the forest down until the 20th march this year)
So our tree is black ...yes black with hot pink decorations ...very simple but quite striking ....much better irl than the photo
