Travelers Notebook/Junk Journal | Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hi every today I am sharing with you all this super fun notebook I created using Cocoa Vanilla Studio's  More Than Words collection 

I just cut up pieces of patterned paper, acetate and vellum, added in a paper doily and some pockets to add bits I collect when travelling and most importantly left room to add photos and journaling. I embellished the cover and some pages. 

I have more of this collection for when I do start adding photos so I can easily add more pages or photo flaps and embellishments 

I will either sew the spine or staple it when I have finished but for now i have it held together with elastic 

this is a folder that unfolds so I can add journalling or photos 

I created a little shaker window on a pocket that I can add photos, journalling or memorabilia that i collected

Birthday Wishes | Little Birdie Crafts

Hi Everyone
 I created this cute bright and fun  birthday card for my niece , I just love the color combo of hot pink, orange and yellow. 

I used Little Birdie Crafts Boho Dreams 6x6 paper pad along with a doily punch out from the 12x12 Boho Dreams collection  and a paper doily.

I diecut a Couture Creations Butterfly Die from cardstock and then watercoloured it to match the patterned paper. I also added a fussy cut butterfly and butterfly embellishment along with Birthday Wishes embellishment all from Little Birdie Crafts
I added some sisal fibre under the handmade flower to add texture to the card

 I finished off my card with some splatters using watered down Gesso and Hot Pink Color Splash spray

Hi Everyone Kerrie here with a fun layout I created using Couture Creations Card Deco Essentials Dye Ink Pads and their latest collection Sunburnt Country

Last month I was so fortunate to be a volunteer at the Inas Global Games held here in Brissie and I knew this this photo of me with Lori the mascot for the games would be perfect for the Lorikeet patterned paper

To create my background I smooched the ink pad colours onto the plastic packaging that cardstock comes in and then spritzed it with water. Then lay my base cardstock ontop and press down .

I wanted a imperfect look so I didn't over press

I coloured my die cut leaves again using an ink pad smooshed onto plastic packaging  ad then dip the leaves in

set leaves and background aside to dry or dry off with your heat tool

I fussy cut the Lorikeets from the patterned paper to layer onto my layout

lastly flick on some splatters using white gesso watered down with water and a splatter brush

Life is Beautiful Mini Album | Little Birdie Crafts

Hi everyone Kerrie here with another project for Little Birdie Crafts
 I created a mini album using Little Birdie Crafts Sunshine & Lemonade Collection. This collection is so perfect for all your summer  and tropical photos
I created this Mini Album for my cousin's granddaughter who recently went on a cruise with her family and celebrated her birthday just before they set sail. I thought this mini album would be perfect for her to pop some of her special cruise photos in.

here is a look inside, I have kept the pages simple so that photos can be added.
I have fussy cut the whole fussy cut sheet and will give the extra pieces to my cousin so they can finish embellishing
I love how these papers all complement each other making this album come together so easily.

I used the pre-punched doilies, journaling cards and fussy cut pieces to embellish my album pages

remember to add the ribbon to the back before adding your patterned paper.

Here is how I coloured the chipboard title

first up i dabbed on Crackle Paste using my finger, I then heat set it

I think sprayed the title using Gold Rush and Lemon Zing Color Splash sprays to give an ombre look to the title

here is a closer look at the crackle effect

I finished off my cover with one of the pre punched doilies layered onto a paper doily and some sisal fibre. Popped on my title and added some handmade paper flowers
