Christmas Bauble Trees Card | Couture Creations

Hi everyone Kerrie back again as Guest Designer for Couture Creations for this card I have gone back to where I started with stamping and watercolouring

Couture Creations Deck the Halls Collection has these cute stamp sets which you can colour using Alcohol Ink Markers, Ink Pads or Watercolours for my card I have used the Christmas Tree Scene set and I have watercoloured

I started by inking up my Jet Black Stayz In Place Alcohol Ink Pad

I then stamped up my images using Cotton Watercolour Paper

I then coloured my images, I went for a messy watercolour look
Once dry I cut our all my images and arranged them on my card base and adhered them all using foam tape to give dimension to my card

I added some sparkle with Crystal Glitter Glue

Live, Laugh, Love Double Layout for Ultimate Crafts | Couture Creations

#kerriegurney #ultimatecrafts #couturecreationsaus

Hi Everyone, Kerrie here
I love to create embossed backgrounds on my layouts using versamark inkpad and gold embossing powder, especially for my travel layouts as it gives them a rustic well traveled look.
As you all know I love a distress look and I also love to have things not perfect this way you have the freedom to just create and not stress about lining things up.
This selection of photos are from a trip to Tasmania my girls and I took last July, we had the best time just the three of us touring the top end of Tassi.
On this day it was freezing and the wind was fierce,  I actually had two coats on and I was still cold!!! The walk down to the bottom of the falls was windy and so very cold, but we past all these people coming back up in tshirts and I couldn't work out how they could stand the cold, that is until we walked back up!!! It was such a steep walk that we too were stripping off our coats and worked up quite the sweat walking back up.
The walk down and back were so worth it though as Liffey Falls are beautiful.

Instructions

1.       Using Versamark Ink pad ink up Ooh La La Zephyr Embossing Folder, stamp background using embossing folder on both pieces of Cinnamon Cardstock
2.       Sprinkle with Mirror Gold Embossing Powder, tap off excess powder and heat until all embossing powder is molten and set. This does not have to be perfect as we want a rustic, vintage look. Clean Embossing Folder using warm sopay water or a baby wipe straight away after stamping.
3.       Cut from Obsidian (Black) Cardstock 1 x 9cm x 25.5cm, 1 x 9cm x 27cm, 1 x 3cm x 28.5cm, 1 x 3cm x 27cm, 1 x 2.5cm x 18cm, 1 x 2.5cm 26.5cm pieces
4.       Cut from Golden Baroque pattern paper 1 x 6cm x 27cm, 1 x 6cm x 15.5cm strips
5.       Cut from Chocolate Swirls pattern paper 1 x 15cm x 15cm piece
6.       Cut a 4.5cm piece from Border strip from Ephemera pack, giving two pieces to use.
7.       Emboss both 2.5cm wide strips using Zephyr embossing folder
8.       Create pennants from the 2.5cm x 18cm embossed strip and the 3cm x 28.5cm strip
9.       Distress the edges of all paper and cardstock pieces
10.   Ink all the distressed edges of all pieces of paper and cardstock and also ink the edges of all diecuts, using sponge dauber and brown ink pad.
11.   Layer all pieces onto the embossed base, making sure to match up both sides in the center
12.   Add lace trim to page before main photo on first page
13.   Before layering main photo mat onto base wrap twine around photo mat
14.   Add photos

15.   Finish off with die cut embellishments and a sprinkling of Pearls

here is a closer look at the embossed background

3mm pearls create soft accents

Photo Sizes; 1 x 4x6 landscape, 4 x 3x4 portrait

Family Portrait | Couture Creations

#kerriegurney

Hi Everyone Kerrie here again with another layout for the Artdeco Creations Brands Blog
using their Couture Creations Be Merry Christmas Paper and Ephemera Collection for a non Christmassy layout

I love this selection of selfies my #1 daughter took of her, her partner and their beautiful rescue dog Ollie.

once again I have used Couture Creations Anna Griffin Embossing Paste and Pigments, this time I  mixed in some Silver Pigment

I then spread it randomly over the Be Merry Christmas Threads Stencil

I then sprinkled on some Be Merry & Classic Silver GLitter, just a smidge as I didn't want to cover all the Embossing paste

I then Inked up my Wire Stamp from the Ultimate Crafts Background Textures collection and leaving it on the plastic it comes on I randomly stamped it. No block needed
(and yes I have overinked my ink pad, it is extra juicy)

I then created my own spray using Couture Creations Anna Griffin Silver Pigment
Simply add some Pigment Powder to an empty spray bottle and add water.
You can personalise your spray making it as intense or light as you like. I went for a mid way strength.
Give the bottle a shake and then you can either spray it on your titles or use a paint brush to paint it on
Before I coloured my Matt Board title I gave it a light coat of Couture Creations Anna Griffin Gesso so that the colour didn't soak right in

I painted my on as I love the variegated look you get when using Ultimate Crafts Cardstock.

Finish off with a sprinkling of pearls,  gemstones and I also added a Resin Corner from Ultimate Crafts Magnolia Lane Collection

and there you have a non Christmassy layout using the Couture Creations  Be Merry Christmas paper

Shabby Chic Magnolia Lane Cards | Ultimate Crafts Couture Creations

#kerriegurney #ultimatecrafts #couturecreationsaus

Hi Everyone Kerrie here back on the Artdeco Creations Blog with two shabby chic cards created using Ultimate Crafts Magnolia Lane papers, dies, embossing folders, stamps and embellishments

I created these cards as part of my card class at SENZ

Both cards are 15cm x 15cm Square Cards, which means both cardstock card bases are cut to 15cm x 30cm and folded in half.

Just Because Card
                   Cut 1 x 14.5cm x 14.5cm piece from pink paper

      1 x 6.5cm x 8cm piece from blue diamond paper
Cut 1 x 6.5cm x 13cm piece from blue diamond paper and create pennant
Cut 1 x 6cm x 12.5cm piece from Magnolia Borders paper and create pennant
Diecut Square Magnolia Frame from Timeless Garden paper
Cut Birdcage from Poetical Labels paper
Distress and Ink the edges of all pieces
Stamp Just Because from Magnolia Lace Stamp Set and create pennant
Layer all pieces onto card base using foam tape to raise up pennant, birdcage and sentiment
Create a next using cotton thread
Adhere Paper Magnolia on top of cotton thread using Turbo Glue Pen
Create a bow with Seam Binding Ribbon and adhere under flower
Finish off with a sprinkling of Pearls and Crystalina Glitter Glue

Embossed Magnolia Card
Cut piece of Damask Curtains paper down to 10cm x 15cm
Emboss the B side using Magnolia Lace embossing Folder
Fussy cut both the borders from Magnolia & Lace pattern paper
Die Cut from Rosehip Memories B side 1 x Magnolia Doily
Die cut from ivory cardstock the leaves only from Rose Cutting Die set
Distress and Ink the edges of all pieces
Layer all pieces onto card base using Turbo Glue Pen or Double Sided Tape, use foam mounting tape to adhere the doily center
Run a strip of 6mm double sided tape along the edge of embossed piece.
Remove backing paper from tape and cover with Iridescent Super Fine Glitter
Create a nest using cotton thread
Adhere Magnolia paper Flower using Turbo Glue Pen

Finish off with a sprinkling of Pearls and some Crystalina Glitter Glue

TIP; use Quick Release Die Cutting Paper when diecutting as this helps to release all papers and cardstock from the dies

Three Quick Layouts - Couture Creations | Ultimate Crafts

#kerriegurney  #couturecreationsaus #ultimatecrafts

Hi Everyone,
Kerrie here sharing three quick layouts I created for Couture Creations Blog
I got caught up creating and forgot to take photos while creating so no step by steps but they are all techniques I have done before.

On this layout of my cute great nephew and niece at the beach, I have used the negative from the Little Things die from Couture Creations It's a Beautiful Life collection to create a tag

I also used Gold and Blue Perfect Pearls mixed together to create the watery look

On this layout of me when I was young I have used Ultimate Crafts Magnolia Lane Pattern Paper and Embossing Folder

I spread a thin layer of texture paste and then sprayed my embossing folder with water and stamped it into the texture paste
(make sure you clean your embossing folder off straight away so the texture paste doesn't dry on your folder)

On this layout of #1 daughter when she was 2, I have used scraps of Ultimate Crafts Magnolia Lane patterned paper, Magnolia Corners die and Chipboard butterflies and the little things die from Couture Creations  It's a Beautiful Life Collection

I have only used the top section of the Cottage Pollen flower which I  sprayed blue to match the background
