DIY Yarn Christmas Trees

Hi Everyone Kerrie  today I'm sharing some DIY Christmas Trees that are so super easy to create and something you could do with the kiddos

All you need is some styrofoam cones and some yarn, string, fibres, some diecut stars  and a hot glue gun or craft adhesive.
Make sure you choose your fibres that have different textures to give your trees some character

Start at the bottom add a blog of adhesive to hold your yarn in place and then just wrap the yarn around your cones. I placed rows of adhesive in 3/4 places going up the cone to hold the yarn in place as it is winding up the cone

Happy 2020 + Christmas 2019 Decor

#kerriegurney #christmas2019

Hi everyone
I'm just popping into wish everyone a very Happy 2020. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and got to spend it with those you love.
I have been quiet as I took some time to spend with family over the break.
We had a lovely day with our children and their partners along with my Mum and my Mother in Law.
Now that the kids are all adults we do secret Santa so just one gift each which is perfect. We live in a material world these days are are always gifting ourselves something so I love that we have simplified our Christmas gifting and make it all about spending time together and of course for me decorating and making our house festive and fun.

Here is a  look at my Christmas decorating for 2019. To say I went a little overboard is an understatement but hey I love every minute of decorating and I seriously hardly bought anything new this year but I had bought some pieces in the sales after Christmas in 2018.
This year I had 21 big trees and countless small trees.
I had loads of bottle brush trees some that I bleached, some that I spray painted gold and lots of ceramic trees

my decor and trees are from Bed, Bath & Table, TK Maxx, Target Australia, Kmart Australia
wooden names and deer napkin rings had cut especially for us
I cut the letters on the bon bons using the We R Memory Keepers Alpha Punch board

I actually hardly bought any new items this year which I am quite proud of myself for creating with what I had ,  I bought the two garlands, the small flocked trees , another tree skirt, the potted arrangements and a few bits for my 3 Tiered Stand
