Hi Everyone Kerrie here
I am back with another project for Couture Creations Blog
I am so excited to be using the new Vintage Rose Garden patterned papers from Couture Creations, they are so soft and feminine, perfect for any occasion and printed on high quality 180gsm paper.
So perfect for this photo of my friend Glenda and I
( I met Glenda when I was invited by Glenda to attend her scrapbooking convention in South Africa on behalf of Couture Creations back in 2012. If you ever get to South Africa you must attend one of Glenda's SA Scrapbook Conventions you won't regret it)
My layout is simple with lots of layers and some embossing to add some texture.
then lightly sand to add a bit of vintage shabbiness to the patterned paper

My layout is simple with lots of layers and some embossing to add some texture.
I embossed a strip of Vintage Rose Garden patterned paper using Twiggy Christmas embossing folder, I love that this folder can be used for projects other than just Christmas projects.
then lightly sand to add a bit of vintage shabbiness to the patterned paper
next I embossed a piece of Core'dinations Cardstock using Christmas Quilt Embossing Folder another fabulous design from the Christmas Collection that can be used for any occasion
sand lightly to revel the core colour
I then distressed the edges of all papers and cardstock and then to finish off the vintage look
I inked all the edges with brown dye ink pad using a sponge dauber as they give a softer look than just using your ink pad straight onto the paper.
I also die cut a Splendour Ornamental Lace die from The Treasures collection and tucked it in behind my photo

Die cut a Simplicty Border die and cut it in half through the middle to create a lovely border, I then added some sparkle to the border using glitter glue very sparingly.
Finish off with some flower embellishments, crochet trim, gemstones and Imaginarium Designs Chipboard Title
